The Evergreen Dance center has been serving the dance community of Evergreen for over 20 years. We strive to provide quality dance education in an exciting and energetic learning environment. Our most valuable asset is our exceptional staff of dance teachers.

Director - Cary Petrusek
Cary Petrusek received a degree in Dance Performance and Education and was a four-year member of the Dance Company at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, performing modern, jazz, tap, and ballet.

Instructor - Elaine Folkesson
Elaine danced professionally with Walt Disney World, on cruise ships, and in national industrial shows. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Drama Dance and Education.

Instructor - Shelby North
A native of Denver Colorado, began her life of dance at the young age of hree at the Little Theater Culture Center under the direction of Debbie Vecchiarelli where she trained in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap and Lyrical. She also trained at the Academy of Classical Ballet with Carla Parks for seven years where she taught, choreographed, and was a Principle Dancer in Ms Parks Classical Dance Theatre. During he time with Classical Dance Theater, Shelby performed in many classical ballets such as The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Giselle, Swan Lake, Le Corsaire, and Sleeping Beauty. She has worked and trained with many great teachers and choreographers such as Finis Jung, Bll Hotaling, Michael Vernon, Bill hastings, Rodni Williams, Terrell Davis, and Karen Newcome. Currently Shelby dances under Terrell Davis with the Davis Contemporary Dance Company, and performs throughout the Denver area with this company.

Instructor - Therese Patton
Therese Patton-Sanchez is a Denver native but a New Yorker at heart. After training at the Arvada Center for 13 years Tess moved to New York to earn a BFA in Modern Dance Performance with emphasis in the Graham technique, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Purchase Dance Conservatory in 2007. While in New York Tess had the pleasure of working with Bill T. Jones, Jacquelyn Buglisi and Christian Holder and performed works such as DMan in the Waters, Serenade, Suspended Women and Valentine. She also worked for Nicholas Andre Dance Theater, Lane Gifford and Kate Hutter. Now married and back in Colorado, Tess does freelance dance, choreography and teaching and is in her fourth season dancing professionally with Davis Contemporary Dance.

Instructor - Rachel Pittinger
Rachel danced with Littleton Ballet Academy and went on to dance with Ballet West at the University of Utah. She has performed lead roles in the Nutcracker and Swan Lake. She has taught with Evergreen Dance Center since 2001 and lives in Evergreen with her husband and two daughters.
